Shock!

Now that you've had your heart attack about the site splash page changing, there really isn't much news. At least yet.

 While we wait for Dash's return and apology, I'm dusting off some old notes and firing up my BF campaign for anyone who wants to at least get some gaming in.

 I'll be supplying several Pre-Gen characters, but would prefer everyone to roll themselves up a character, have a little more invested in their fantasy world persona.

 The Ground Rules:
 I Need everyone that wants to play to be as consistent as possible. I understand if you cannot make a game here or there, but you must find a way to have a presence in the game (The party relies on every PC and if the cleric doesn't show up to game....)

 The PCs are all friends already, with a handful of adventures under their belts, you are close friends and trust each other implicitly. There will be no backstabbing or any of that nonsense. The point of these games is to work together.

 There will be some house rules eventually, and we're going to play fast and loose, I'm going for good times and epic stories, I'm not going to let the rules get in the way of that if I can help it.
 
I'll be running a chat game on Thursdays and picking up the slack during the week in PBP, I'll be doing my best to be here every day and posting whenever I can, please do the same so we can keep a rolling momentum.

This intro is posted again Here and will contain all the house rules and such.
 
We may or may not start this Thursday as we were supposed to be driving into town today and have essentially been snowed in, Thursday might be the day we make the trip, so NEXT Thursday is more likely, but we'll see.

Man my Interwebs are getting mighty crowded... We've had a relatively steady influx of bots registering on the site, interesting to know now that there are actually "difficulty" settings on the stock captcha for SMF forum software and it's set on medium mode by default... now I know, but I've already moved on and installed a new mod, one that uses http://reCaptcha.net's software, an ingenious bit of code that actually has you hand transcribing a novel with every 2 of those funny shaped words meant to confuse any and all software agents that want to sell you rubber dog crap from china.

 That said, is anyone looking for rubber dog crap? we're kind of having a sale...

Since the computer Dash was running last night couldn't quite handle our chat room, I've re-uploaded our backup chatroom at http://livingmercenaries.net/alt_chat It's pretty ugly, you /roll to roll dice and it doesn't handle multipliers, so you can't /roll 1d6x10, but you can 1d6+2 or what have you.
